I am so excited to share a sneak peek of Kevin and Chelsea’s wedding with you! Kevin and Chelsea’s wedding day was incredible. This couple has an amazing bond that is easy to see in their pictures because before they were husband and wife, they were best friends. Baby, It’s Cold Outside-Kevin & Chelsea {Missouri Engagement Photography}

As I was driving up to meet them, the temperature in my car read a chilly 25 degrees for the afternoon. The show was piled high along the banks of the road when I met Kevin and Chelsea ready to start taking some fun and fabulous photos! Because their original engagement session was shot during the proposal, I didn’t want to leave Chelsea out of the planning process, so we just planned a second shoot! She decided on a winter engagement session, so they braved the weather–although nothing really mattered to them besides their giggles and smiles at one another! Their wedding is coming up so fast and I couldn’t be more excited about what is in store!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland – Sarah & Jordan {Joplin, Missouri Engagement Photography}

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a super cute couple, Jordan & Sarah! They are so much fun and I am so excited to be shooting their wedding this summer! Before the wedding day, though, of course we had to take some engagement pictures! When they suggested a shoot in the snow, I was hesitant at first (because I am not a cold weather person), but I love new adventures so we went out in the gorgeous two foot snow drifts. I am so glad we did! They were awesome for braving it through the frigid temperatures and very bright snow to get some really great photos. Thanks so much to Jordan and Sarah for a such a great time!

 

A Christmas Present {Joplin Photography}

There are two things you need to know about this photo shoot. Number One: It was THE MOST FUN shoot I have done to date. Number Two: This was not an engagement session! (I had to establish that to spare the many questions this shoot’s presence on the blog may bring to my dear friends–haha)

One of my best friends, Heather, decided that for her (very creative) Christmas present to her boyfriend Tom, she wanted to make him a lamp. Not just any lamp, mind you, but one covered with film photo strips.

It was such an incredible idea, so I dug out my old film camera from high school photography and she dug out her bucket of fun props and we met at the park. While going through these pictures it won’t take long to establish that they are not only crazy, but crazy about each other. The were fun, spontaneous, and hilarious. Thanks for letting me help out, Heather!

John Mark & Lesley {Joplin Missouri Photography}

John Mark & Lesley have been friends of my husband and I since we moved here. They are truly awesome people with incredible hearts. I was honored to take pictures of them and their two dogs, Jack and Layla. Their dogs were big sweethearts and so adorable. We had fun blocking small dogs from Layla’s view and coaxing them to look at the camera. Thanks for letting us share in your family!

Eric & Cara {Joplin Missouri Photography}

First of all, you should know that Cara is the epitome of everything I want to be as a photographer. She is incredible and if you haven’t checked out her website, www.simplicitybycara.com, you should do so…now! She is so talented and kind and graciously agreed to help me as I began my photography business. When she contacted me about taking some pictures with her and her husband, Eric, I was so excited! Eric is a husband who is supportive and encouraging and above everything else in love. The way he looked at Cara with such joy and affection was breathtaking. Though we had to endure rain, darkness, and battery failure, this was the most blessed I have ever been by a photo shoot. Thank you for an amazing evening, Eric & Cara!
