Willie+Heather {Joplin Missouri Wedding Photography}

I have to start this post by saying that I absolutely love what I do. Building relationships with clients and just hanging out with them for a few hours is always such a blessing. I love getting to know my clients because, honestly, they’re awesome people! Willie and Heather had me feeling very lucky getting to spend the afternoon with them all around Joplin. We starting off walking near Wildcat Glades, just soaking up the incredible weather, and winding up in Downtown Joplin. They were so easygoing and laid back that I felt like we were old friends reconnecting. I loved learning about their lives and all the details of their (non-frou frou) wedding day. Here’s just a sneak peek of their engagement session. Enjoy!

Travis+Melissa {Joplin Missouri Wedding Photography}

Travis and Melissa are the quintessential cute couple. They just seem to fit together like puzzle pieces, like they were made to go together. The love and respect they have for each other is easy and comfortable, like a warm summer breeze. The tender moments and secret laughs they shared transformed this photo shoot into a glimpse of their future lives together. I really enjoyed my time with them and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this summer!

Marcie {Joplin Missouri Senior Photography}

Wow! What a busy weekend full of seniors, engagements, and (of course) lots of editing! My flurry of a weekend began with Marcie, who is a gorgeous and confident college senior. Her incredible red hair and piercing, but warm, eyes made this session effortless. She is so easygoing and lighthearted that we spent the whole time laughing and talking about life. I loved taking her pictures, so I hope you enjoy looking at them! Stay tuned because there will be several more previews this week!

Baby, It’s Cold Outside-Kevin & Chelsea {Missouri Engagement Photography}

As I was driving up to meet them, the temperature in my car read a chilly 25 degrees for the afternoon. The show was piled high along the banks of the road when I met Kevin and Chelsea ready to start taking some fun and fabulous photos! Because their original engagement session was shot during the proposal, I didn’t want to leave Chelsea out of the planning process, so we just planned a second shoot! She decided on a winter engagement session, so they braved the weather–although nothing really mattered to them besides their giggles and smiles at one another! Their wedding is coming up so fast and I couldn’t be more excited about what is in store!

John Mark & Lesley {Joplin Missouri Photography}

John Mark & Lesley have been friends of my husband and I since we moved here. They are truly awesome people with incredible hearts. I was honored to take pictures of them and their two dogs, Jack and Layla. Their dogs were big sweethearts and so adorable. We had fun blocking small dogs from Layla’s view and coaxing them to look at the camera. Thanks for letting us share in your family!

Kevin & Chelsea {Joplin Missouri Engagement Photography}

Though many photographers get to take engagement pictures, there are very few who get to be there while the engagement takes place. I got the unique opportunity to do just that when Kevin approached me to surprise his bride-to-be. This newly engaged pair grinned from ear-to-ear through their entire session and couldn’t help but stare into each other’s eyes. They were clearly smitten and it was wonderful to capture them in this blissful state. Here’s a sneak peek at their enchanting engagement:

Jenka & Emily {Joplin Missouri Wedding Photography}

I was honored to work with Cara Pagan of Simplicity Photos for this natural, carefree wedding. The earthy decor of tree slice centerpieces and green apple wedding favors got all my DIY juices flowing. The bride, Emily, was stunning in her elegant white gown and the handsome groom, Jenka, was a kid at heart with a mile-wide goofy grin that displayed how much he adored his bride-to-be. Here are a just few shots from their big day:
